They have immense respect for the land, and even have a super cool blog on their site www.hgw.si/blog/ where they talk about their grapes and vineyards like they are family. Because, in their eyes, they are! And well, we love that.

But, um...Did we hear... ORANGE WINE?!?! Yeah, a Slovenian orange that is peachy, salty, and skinzy with apricot and a splash of something savory (chicken broth maybe?) There's an aromatic spicy "hi-ya!", without being too spicy since the mild tannins aren't overbearing. The dry, peppery finish on the palette is wiped clean by the bright acidity. The skin contact on this bad boy keeps the mouth wanting more...and at 10.6% ABV, we say, wine not!?!
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1007/6690/8695/files/2020-heaps-good-wine-company-skin-contact_1.jpg?v=1792016770
