Flowers Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Peacock Sunset

The composition of this Peacock Sunset scroll pulls your eye in gently. The piece has a meditative pull to it. It has the quiet luxury of the genuinely handmade. There is a natural harmony to the whole thing.

Silk's slight sheen adds a quiet luminosity to the painted surface. The setting around the peony stays muted so nothing distracts from it. Light seems to fall naturally across the birds. The background stays quiet so the calligraphy can do the talking. In Chinese tradition, the calligraphy stands for the scholar's craft, practiced stroke by stroke, a wish folded quietly into the image.

It settles into Chinese New Year home decor and promptly becomes the favorite corner. For Asian-inspired home decoration, the balance of detail and space is ideal. All in all, this Peacock Sunset scroll is the kind of piece you will still be glad to see on the wall years from now.
