Flowers Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Swans Water

A Swans Water scroll gives guests something worth pausing for. It has the quiet luxury of the genuinely handmade. There is a natural harmony to the whole thing. It feels like a small daily gift to whoever lives with it.

Mineral pigments keep the colors gentle and lightfast on the silk surface. The peony and calligraphy are composed like a short poem. Washes of color behind the calligraphy suggest atmosphere rather than detail. The brush lingers on the colorful just long enough. To a Chinese eye, the calligraphy quietly promises the scholar's craft, practiced stroke by stroke.

As unique Chinese housewarming gift, it says taste without saying a word. It works as unique Chinese housewarming gift from entryway to bedroom. All in all, a Swans Water scroll is one of those purchases that keeps feeling right. The piece feels right in both bright and dimly lit rooms. Its gentle presence makes it an easy gift choice.
